Jean-Philippe Arguin
Mr. Arguin received his academic training at the University of Quebec in Chicoutimi (UQAC) where he completed his bachelor’s degree in Geology in 2013, then a master’s degree in Earth Sciences in 2015. Furthermore, Mr. Arguin followed doctoral-level studies at UQAC from 2016 to 2018. His graduate studies allowed him to acquire enhance knowledge on magmatic Ni-Cu-EGP and Fe-Ti-P/V deposits, and to specialize in petrology, geochemistry and geometallurgy. Since the beginning of his studies, Mr. Arguin has continued to acquire skills in mineral exploration. In recent years, he was involved in several exploration projects for industrial minerals (magnetite, ilmenite, rutile, graphite) in the Grenville Province and the Abitibi Subprovince. Previously, Mr. Arguin also worked on exploration projects for gold, base metals, apatite, rare earth elements and niobium. He has been working for Laurentia Exploration since November 2019 as a project manager, specialist in industrial minerals. Mr. Arguin stands out for his organizational skills, his perfectionism and his ability to adapt to new geological contexts.
